DTS-HD Master Audio Suite is a complete audio encoding, decoding, quality control and bit-stream management, designed to drive Blu-Ray, DVD, music and DTS discs.
DTS Stream Types:

* DTS-HD Master Audio , lossless bit for bit variable bit-rate with embedded core of DTS Digital Surround at
a constant bit-rate up to 1509 kbps
* DTS-HD High Resolution Audio at constant bit-rates from 2046 kbps up to 5760 kbps
* DTS Digital Surround at constant bit-rates up to 1509 kbps for DVD-V and DVD-A, 1234 kbps for Music Discs
* DTS Express for Blu-ray Secondary Audio offers mono, stereo and 5.1 stream types with optional
embedded Primary Audio dynamic volume and Secondary Audio mono panning metadata.
Data rates range from 48kbps to 256kbps, depending on the channel count.

* Up to 7.1 ch. Discrete for Primary Audio for Blu-ray Disc
* Up to 6.1 ch. Discrete for DVD-V & DVD-A
* Up to 6.1 ch. Discrete for DTSŸ Music Disc (CD)

Downmixes:

* 7.x to 5.x channels
* 5.x to 2.0 channels (Stereo)

Sample Rate:

* 48, 96 and 192 kHz for Blu-ray Disc (.dtshd)
* 48 kHz for Blu-ray Disc Secondary Audio (.dtshd)
* 48 and 96 kHz for DVD-V and DVD-A (.cpt)
* 44.1, 88.2** kHz for DTS Music Disc (.wav)

Miscellaneous:

Accepts Broadcast WAV, AIFF, and WAV files
Time code rates: 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 Drop and Non Drop, 30 fps
**Stereo only is supported at this sample rate
