1. Installation
To install Red Hat Enterprise Linux uses a program anaconda, which bRed Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7 has undergone the following changes:

Ibmvfc driver updated to version 1.0.9.
Mptfusion driver updated to version 3.04.18rh.
Cciss driver for HP Smart Array controllers now support kdump.

4.2. Network device drivers

Updated driver cxgb4 controllers wired Chelsio Terminator4 10G Unified.
Updated driver cxgb3i for Chelsio T3.
E1000e driver for Intel PRO/1000 now supports Marvell Alaska M88E1118R PHY and CE4100.
Enic driver for Cisco 10G upgraded to version
Myri10ge driver for Myricom Myri-10G has been updated to version 1.5.2.
Updated driver for igb Intel Gigabit.
Tg3 driver for Broadcom Tigon3 updated to version 3.116 and includes support for the EEE.
Bna driver for Brocade 10Gb updated to version
The updated driver qlcnic 5.0.13 supports packet handling mechanisms LRO (large receive offload) and GRO (generic receive offload).
The updated driver netxen 4.0.75 for NetXen Multi port (1 / 10) Gigabit now supports setting GbE.
Updated driver for be2net ServerEngines BladeEngine2 10Gbps supports IPv6 TSO.
The updated driver ixgbe 3.2.9-k for the Intel 10 Gigabit PCI Express supports FCoE and kcq2 devices 57 712.
Added updated version of the iwl6000-firmware
Iwl5150-firmware package is now available on the secondary drive kit RHEL.
1000e driver updated to version 1.3.10.
Ixgbevf driver updated to version 2.0.0-k2.
Updated driver igbvf.
The updated driver includes support for bnx2x 1.62.00-6 DCB / PFC, FCoE, and 57 712 units for the BCM84823 supports PHY. Bnx2x firmware updated to
Bnx2 driver: updated to 2.0.18 +.
Added driver for atl1e Atheros GbE.
Added driver iw_cxgb4.
Updated driver iw_cxgb3.
4.3. Graphics Drivers
Vesa driver now supports screen resolution of 1366A—768 on the Dell M4500.
Ati driver now supports the use of the DisplayPort interface cards RV635/RV730.
Mga driver now supports devices G200eH/eR.

5. File system and storage

Major changes in file systems Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7:
new debugging features address space operations, NFS;

5.1. GFS2

File System Red Hat GFS2 interacts with the interface file system kernel directly (at VFS). When implemented as a distributed file system GFS2 also uses metadata and magazines.
